1985 XR350R
Baja Design Street Legal
Lower Hours
$3,900
Description:
Street Legal 1985 XR350R with original enduro meter.  This is the last year of the XR350R in the US, so it has front disc breaks and a signle carb.
Low mileage. Low Hour.  Garage kept since purchased in 1990.
Bonded Texas Title: When we purchased this bike in 1990 it came with only a bill of sale.  We filed for a bond as part of the process of making the machine street-legal.  The bonded title is dated January 2009 and the bond was returned in 2012 as there were no claims brought about as part of the bond. At this point whoever files for title next will be given a clean Texas title.
Some light modding has been done to this bike aside from the Baja Designs Street Legal kit.  The two primary things were converting the bike from its stock 6-volt stator to a more modern 12-volt so it could handle the Baja Designs lighting.  The second thing was we swapped the stock Keihin carb for a Mikuni carb.  Other than that a skid plate and handguards were added.
Buddy peg attachment points have been added to the bike and can easily be removed.  The buddie pegs themselves have lived in the tool bag.  They were added as an option to help someone off a trail if needed. Luckily I don't think they were ever used.
I will be removing the license plate upon the sale of the vehicle. I don't feel like messing with Toll issues down the road.
For the last 10 years, it has been run every couple of months to putter around a ranch.
The bike is street legal, however, spent 99.99999% of its life in the dirt.  It was made street legal to be able to ride between trails and towns in Colorado.
The motor is completely stock and has never been opened.  It fires right up and runs perfectly.
